I have given many talks and presentations; however I find this to be one of the toughest.

A clear description of Dennis; he was an amazing person! Liked by everyone!

Dennis and I go back to grammar school, St. Joseph’s. My school day would start with a bike ride from my house to his house then continue to school, we would either walk or take our bikes, if by bike we would park at Mrs. Lanners garage where in most cases we would compare notes on the homework due that day. What memories………

Post St. Joseph’s we moved on to Bogota High, this was a huge step……Catholic to public school…… of course we had sponsors at the school, brothers and in his case sisters too, the transition was easer then we thought. He went on to be the “Jock”, excelling in the sports he chose and became somewhat of a lady magnet without focus or effort!

After high school, he went on to secure a position with a company where the work environment was most likely the cause of future health issues. I on the other hand joined (under protest) the Navy to avoid the Army. Upon the completion of my tour went on to university, married, children and etc.

Dennis and I maintained a close relationship even though as time would pass, as it does, when we would get together; it was as if time stood still.

Dennis was the kind of person that was friends with everyone regardless of the so called social click and was as genuine and sincere. The world would be a better place if more people would model their life and relationships as Dennis did! I miss him and I know all who were touched by him also share my thoughts, memories and feelings.
