Obituary:

Donald G., on June 10, 2012 of Bogota. Before retiring last year he was the Superintendent for the Bogota DPW, where he worked for 22 years. He was a 46 year member of Bogota Fire Department, Hose Company # 3, where he had served as Captain and President. He was past president of the Bogota Exempt Firemen Association, the Bogota FD Relief Association and served as Chief of the Bogota FD in 1988. He was a Navy veteran and an avid fisherman who regularly frequented the banks of the Hackensack River. He was predeceased by his parents Guerino and Cecelia, his daughter Tracey Lynn and his sister Pattie Anne Clark. Beloved husband of Kathy. Devoted father of Robert and his wife Karen, Christopher and Stacy. Loving grandfather of Jasmine, Samantha and Robert, Jr. Dear uncle of Kaitlyn and son-in-law of Grace and Ken Schumacher. The funeral will leave Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Avenue, Bogota, Thursday morning at 9 for the funeral Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church at 9:30. Interment Maple Grove Park Cemetery, Hackensack. Visiting Wednesday 3-9 PM. Memorial contributions to Hose Company #3, would be appreciated.
