Obituary:  Thomas Patrick Walsh,age 67, died on Friday, March 14, 2014 at his home. Born in Teaneck and formerly of Bogota he was a long time summer resident of Long Beach Island before moving there permanently.   Tommy was a retired Senior Maintenance Supervisor for the Holland Tunnel with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, a past Chief for the Bogota Fire Department, had worked for the Bogota NJ  Ambulance Corps, was Commodore of Spray Beach Yacht Club, a member of the Beach Haven First Aid Squad and the Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Company and was a parishioner of St.Francis, Brant Beach. Tommy was a loving parent to his four-legged children Suzy Q and August; he was a good friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and was a train buff who had amassed an extensive collection. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2014 at 1PM at St.Francis Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach. Cremation was private and under the direction of Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, Ship Bottom. In lieu of flowers,contributions may be made to either the Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 3, Ship Bottom, NJ. 08008, or Beach Haven First Aid Squad , PO Box 1291, Beach Haven, NJ 08008 in Tommy's memory.
